Snis Interview with the project team

The Swiss Network for International Studies, who generously funded the Green Dealings project, made a walking interview with some of our researchers during the final conference of the project.

Battery supply chains from South America to Europe and beyond: Issues of governance, sustainability and justice

During the two days of the Green Dealings final workshop and conference in Geneva, researchers from different social science disciplines and at various career stages were invited to present their ongoing research on aspects of the lithium-ion battery transition. In the public part of the event, Green Dealings researchers presented findings of the project, and reflected collectively on how (European) normative perceptions of a “just“ and “green“ transition are shaping international Lithium-ion battery supply chains, with important implications globally, particularly in the global South where minerals are typically sourced. A panel of distinguished experts were invited to comment and debate the opportunities and challenges of due diligence policies.

Delphi Study Executive Summaries

What are the challenges in building a sustainable and fair lithium battery value chain?

We wanted to know the points of view of diverse experts across South America and Europe! Over the last months we carried out an online Delphi study in two rounds. After each round we shared the results with participants and asked them to comment on them.

You can download the executive summaries in English, and in Spanish.
